it couldn't have happened to a more deserving fellow

the 2004 Oblivion of the Year

And the winner is...

...crikey, it's Mikey!

If you leave out absolutely everything that might give your "narrative" a problem and throw in any old rubbish that might support it, and you don't even care that one bit of that rubbish flatly contradicts the next bit, and you give no chance to those who might differ, then you have betrayed your craft. If you flatter and fawn upon your potential audience, I might add, you are patronizing them and insulting them.
Christopher Hitchens

Update: Mike wins the coveted top spot on The Most Annoying Liberals In The United States: The 2004 Edition
To say that Michael Moore is annoying is such an understatement that it's like saying that the sun is hot. Yes, FilmThreat's least intriguing celebrity for 2004 finally cemented himself in the top slot with "Fahrenheit 9/11," which was perhaps the most dishonest documentary made since the Soviet Union collapsed.

Loser of the year?
