A fairy tale for grown ups

Once upon a time...

Billions of years ago... chemicals randomly organized themselves into a self-replicating molecule. This spark of life was the seed of every living thing we see today (as well as those we no longer see, like dinosaurs). That simplest life form, through the processes of mutation and natural selection, has been shaped into every living species on the planet. How Evolution Works by Marshall Brain

... and they all lived happily ever after

[Seems nobody told Mr Brain before he began his guide to how evolution works that the aforesaid evolution supposedly has nothing, but nothing to say about the origin of life... Well that's what most Internet Infidels claim when some hapless creationist brings up this point in any debate... But then again, it HAS to be natural elephants all the way down, doesn't it?]
